It was... inevitable...
We knew it would happen...I knew it would happen, ever since I saw that box on my desk, I knew it couldn't be long before they reacted... And react they did. An expansion pack comes out for the Sims, this time promising fun party time on campus! Let's see how it shaped out, will we?
STORY: The expansion pack story? inexistent. Oh, all right: Now your Sims can go to College, where they'll take on the form of young adults and live the fun on campus. You create the story as you go. Period.
GRAPHICS: This expansion doesn't add too much on graphics, but adds some new items that make use of cool effects, like orange smoke and bubbles.
GAMEPLAY: The game rocks, pure and simple. First off, you can now marry the townies! Second, college experience is awesome, with four years of "learning", that consists of two separated tests, each about 37 hours apart. Of course, the learning system is slightly tweaked, as Sims have locks on their heads(that is, you can learn everything in one day and spend the rest doing nothing until the test, and you'll still pass).
A cool new feature is the influence meter, that grows depending on how many friends you have, then you can "influence" these friends to do what you want, things like starting a fire, or running naked in front of some old women. A flaw is that, if you don't go to the university, you never can again. Another is the lack of things to do after the first two years in College. Speaking of college, there are a lot of different areas that you can try to get a degree in, that result in better places in jobs. It's great.
PHYSICS: Physics for zombies(which have been brought into the game), people streaking and pillow fighting are very well done.
BUY or NOT: Buy, or get it borrowed and then buy Nightlife, the expansion pack after it. It's an overall good game.
